I crossed that bridge before I burned it

Hah. I am living in the future, or at least it can be said that Web 2.0 is well and truely part of my life:
I just bought (from an online mp3 subscription service) a song by someone I've never heard of before, as a result of hearing on the podcast of a blog I read, checking out the music on myspace before I bought it.
Though to be fair, the reason I read that blog is because of a 'real world' comic the author wrote. Albeit one that was predicting Web 2.0 before it happened, or at the very least, predicting its eventual wide scale effects on society that we're only now beginning to see.
'Bloxes' – Interlocking boxes, can be made into lots of interesting shape, and apparently sufficently strong and light that you could carry a set strong enough to hold your weight. However the price would put me off – $60 for 20 (which will make a 3 foot by 4 foot wall one blox thick). Then again, it's more for companies and such that need stuff that's portable and useful, and shows how trendy they are.
In other news , the 'terrible storm' that's attack the UK seems not to bad down here so far.
