My quarter century

So, sometime soon, I turn 25. This is mildly terrifying in and of itself. But, as is the custom in the current society, I'd like to celebrate the fact I'm one year closer to death, know a fair few new things, and have forgotten hopefully less things.
However, there are two slight problems. Firstly, I'm in Plymouth, an hour away from most of the people I know well and have spend up to the last half decade hanging out with. Secondly, I suck at organising these sorts of things.
The day in question is the 29th of November. It's a Thursday, so it's probably going to be easier to wait until the Friday or the Saturday to do things.
Anyone got any suggestions for what to do/where to go/who to lynch? It feels like I should do something at least vaugely special, given the quarter century milestone. Then again, that is just another number when you get down to it. I don't know...
I also need to decide what I want to do for Christmas. Chances are the house in Hereford won't be sold by then, but there's not likely to be anyone else there. Visiting Hereford for a bit would be good, as I'd like to see whoever out of my close secondary school friends come back there then, as that's the time when we traditionally have met up most.
But Christmas itself? I'm not sure...
(Sorry for the rambling, and probably not all that uplifting nature of this entry)

Date: 2007-11-11 07:26 pm (UTC)The issue here is that I'm currently living alone, much of the people who are nearish (1 hour away) that I know well will likely be heading to their own home towns and families, and I'm just not sure what I'm going to do.
