Whew. Deadline numero uno done. Twas a CR 15 odd deadline, I took some damage, and the kill wasn't quite a clean one, but at least the battle is finished.

Deadline numero dos is thankfully a mere CR 5, therefore I'm rather less worried.

For anyone who's interested, here's the Flash website that was one of the things that had to be done. (4.6 meg big, and some of the buttons appear to take some persuading to work when it's being viewed over teh intarwebs).

Very good. The shape tweening is a bit out, but the flash file could end up quite large if you corrected each frame. Making them into separate box buttons would have made them easier to 'find'. I had some basic experience with Flash 3 but have forgotten most of it now.

The problem with the shape tweening seems to be that it goes "I'll take as much black as I need for the end shape from the left side of the start shape, then shrink the rest of the start shape down to nothing. I've semi corrected it by making a fair quantity of the text fade as a graphic while the rest shape tweens, but there are still issues.

And yeah, directly specifying the area of the buttons would have helped somewhat. But hey, it's good enough. And amusingly, rather different to what I'd actually do were I wanting to actually put it up online, rather than just make it for a project.
