I read the actual poll itself which, being USian and thus not regulated in the same way is harder to check details on, but they surveyed, in total, 532 people who have previously voted in a GOP primary.

A couple jokers and a few fools would distort that massively, it's basically a non story. That the firm that did the poll is one of the more reputable US pollsters says all you really need to know about the state of US polling (their report makes the typical YouGov drivel look like a paragon of professionalism).
