Not going to comment there, but I do feel if someone wants to debunk a particular policy, they ought to understand it and check the basic facts. The UKIP policy is for a flat tax on all earnings above 12,500 p/a, not on all earnings, ergo for most people it would increase their take home pay. And yes, I have checked the maths on it, I know who did the original paper.

Large number of people seem to want to willfully misrepresent what the policy is, which would make it easy for a UKIP rep to destroy their argument, if there were any UKIP reps with the intelligence to actually read the policy paper.

I think the tax calcs on the current tax system in the article are wrong. I think the author has not applied the personal allowance correctly.
