Via bart_calendar, this was in the Times and other Murdoch papers today.

Really, what the fuck? Yes, we're in a big world, there are other big issues going on. But Murdoch's papers don't get to go "Hey! Look over there! A convenient distraction!".

Also, I'll note that only a few days ago, Fox were saying that we need to focus less on News of the World/News Corporation, and more on the generalised thing of people getting hacked.

  Scotland Yard has beefed up its team tackling phone hacking after a "significant increase" in the workload. It is not known how long the investigation will take but a senior source in the Metropolitan Police force told Channel 4 News Home Affairs Correspondent Simon Israel that the new investigation into hacking "could take more than five years," at its previous rate using 45 officers.
