How does comment threading work on DW compared to LJ? Specifically when the page gets full enough to collapse down to post subjects.

On LJ, on a basic account, you have to click through to the page for that thread, unless the post is on a paid account's LJ, where you can expand it, like paid users can do everywhere. No idea about plus accounts.

Essentially I'm considering suggesting DW for hosting a player-party/coterie/pack-style online game if it does threading better than LJ does for non payers.

I assume it does it in the same way that LiveJorunal does, since DW code is largely based off of LJ. That said, I've yet to pick up enough comments for it to be an issue for me personally.
