Jobs going!

Short version: Campaigning related jobs all over, application details here

Long version:

Yes to Fairer Votes – the campaign for a Yes vote in the May referendum on whether we change to the Alternative Vote are wanting people to run (and semi-set up) phone banks around the country.

This basically involves sorting out office space, and getting volunteers to come in, and managing those volunteers. Said volunteers will be largely calling people to try and find out whether they're currently are aware of the referendum, whether they know which way they're going to vote, do a little persuading towards 'Yes' if possible, but more concentrate on seeing if they're willing to be sent more details about it.

Requires you know Excel for the data side of it, not paying all that much for what they're after (£5.93 per hour / up to 40 hours per week), but it's a job, something good for people who are in favour of AV, experience, and possibly a jumping off point into more campaigning stuff afterwards.

Also, they're looking for them in lots of places. Currently they're looking for people in:

  • Norwich
  • Ipswich
  • Colchester
