   DAYTON, Ohio (CN) - Dayton police "mistook" a mentally handicapped teenager's speech impediment for "disrespect," so they Tasered, pepper-sprayed and beat him and called for backup from "upward of 20 police officers" after the boy rode his bicycle home to ask his mother for help, the boy's mom says.

It is perhaps worthwhile noting that the report is merely the, at present, uncorroborated complaint of a mother seeking large sums of money from the requisite local authority. It might be worthy of note that the 17 year-old was not acquitted of the charges that he faced but was found incompetent to stand trial. Of course, on the other hand, it might be all true.
